Viewsonic GT775 This elegantly designed 17-inch monitor boasts of very good display characteristics with support for resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200. Also, apart from the Sony monitors, this was the only other set of monitors that featured an Aperture Grille tube. With a dot pitch of 0.25 mm, this monitor allows access to all the screen image and colour controls via the On Screen Display with corrections for horizontal and vertical convergence, raster rotation, parallelogram and pinbalancing, besides the usual screen geometry controls like sizing and positioning. The raster quality in the convergence tests appeared to be reasonably good with only slight blurring in the upper right corner, but this could be corrected through the controls. The lattices in the screen geometry test were very straight and with no signs of bending or any anomalies in the horizontal and vertical aspects. Also, the response of the screen during the screen-switching test was very fast with no audible noise and with a rock-solid raster. Varied features and impressive performance make this monitor a very logical choice for the demanding professional user where intensive graphics are of prime importance. |
